1980 Edition 7

For the 7th Edition of the 1980 Post Pattern, there were only 3 weeks left in the season and by that point Green Bay's hopes of a playoff birth had all but disappeared. Fittingly, the content of the issue seemed to focus on topics outside of game commentary. We have a rebuttal to Shorty Biedenbender's criticism of Packer drafting, and some funny remarks about what fans did to pass the time in Lambeau on game day.

For our Packer Game of the Week, we skip ahead to a Week 15 matchup with the Houston Oilers (and one of the best helmet's in the league). The beleaguered Pack was limping to the finish line at this point, and didn't put up much fight in this contest, falling to Bum Phillips team. Earl Campbell was the star of the day, running for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Ken Stabler was under center for the Oilers.
